Hey, I'm Becca Berri

My pronouns are they/them

I'm a documentary-inspired lifestyle photographer who's passionate about helping you remember your life authentically. I believe in the life-changing magick of seeing yourself how you want to be seen and I offer more than just my camera skills.

My clients love working with me as their photographer because I embrace them for who they are, I care about how they feel, and I help them step into their power.

Why I Fell In Love With Photography

When my clients see their vulnerability in our photos, they see how powerful their courage is. And because of this, I've seen so many folks (repeatedly) show up for themselves with confidence.

FAQ

Where are you located?

I'm based in Hamilton, Ontario.

I live and work within traditional Anishinabewaki, Attiwonderonk (Neutral), Haudenosaunee, Mississauga, and Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation land. In the spirit of peace and friendship, and in accordance with the "Dish With One Spoon" wampum agreement, I am bound to share this territory and protect the land.

Do you travel?

Yes, I love adventure! I customize all my session locations to my clients, so where we work is up to them and what their daydreams feel like. I offer Canada-wide & worldwide photo packages and I'd LOVE to travel with you.

FUN FACT: I've already explored 27+ countries. So let me know if I can help with your travel plans; I might have already been to your dream location and could have some great recommendations!

What's up with the apothecary?

I believe authentic portraiture happens when people feel connected to themselves—and connection is ultimately what my studio is about. I created the apothecary side of Studio Berri & Apothecary to support the hard work you do every day in showing up for yourself and your values. To help you craft your own rituals that bring you closer to yourself!

My story

Photography became a way for me to connect with my peers on a fun yet deeply serious level. I'd never seen people like me openly celebrated—definitely not in mainstream media!—and I'd personally been to many places where queerness and "witchcraft" were brutally punished. I wanted to create spaces where the people around me felt safe enough to be seen. Mostly because I personally didn't.
